Created in 2005 by the project La Fabri K, thc Cuban Hip-Hop Symposium aims to promote the exchange of ideas between artists and activists who work in several community projects, which contribute to the development of the hip-hop movement in Cuba. the event includes rap dancing, graffiti art, a series of films and a colloquium with discussions on hip-hop culture and issues regarding this type of music, which has delved into controversial aspects of Cuban life, such as racism and emerging economic inequalities.
