Scottish travellers arrived by chance – love Cuba now!

Louize and Kenny hail from Aviemore in the Sottish Highlands.
They landed in Cuba as a result of a required change in their travel
plans. Now, they are huge fans of the island and plan to come back this

My husband and I were meant to travel to Cayo Coco for our holiday but because of Hurricane Gustav we were transferred to Varadero instead.  We were a bit worried as we had heard the stories about the food not being great and Cuba being run down but this could not have been further from the truth.

Our holiday to Cuba was the best holiday ever – so good in fact we are returning this September to the same place, same hotel.  The Cuban people are the friendliest we have ever met, the country is beautiful and the food, drink and service we received second to none.

We especially enjoyed the trip to the Tropicana Club – it was quite an experience driving through Havana with no street lights (and no lights on the traffic!!) but works perfectly (as does everything else in Cuba). The old cars, the creative way that everything is recycled – we could all learn a lot from Cuba

Thank you for being you – don’t change!!  We’ll see you in September
