The  Canadian Travel site offers travel advice and some practical information including entry and exit information, boat traffic, imports and exports and considerably more.

As of November 2012 we have been informed that the Governement of Canada has upgraded its website .

“This new initiative offers a remarkable integration of regularly updated travel content and resources from 12 federal departments on issues related to public safety and health, travel documentation, wait times at the border, security screening, travel advice, Registration of Canadians abroad, packing tips and more. It will assist Canadians to make informed decisions about international travel, whether they are planning a trip abroad or have already reached their destination.

“The website also features the Travel Smart mobile application and a social media portal to ensure Canadians have access to information in a timely fashion. Also, Canadians can now sign up to receive information either through Twitter, Facebook, RSS feeds or email updates.

“Preparation is the key to successful travel. Your first stop when planning a trip should be the Government of Canada’s new and improved website.”
