The 3rd Titán de Bronce Cup of body building, which took place at the Campanario Theater in the city of Guantanamo, December 16, 2011, brought together members of the Cuban Association of Bodybuilding (ACFC) in a great competition which set eyes bulging and paces racing amongst those of us that have something of a passion for the sport.
Bodybuilders Revé Wilmer Luis and Igraine López Pérez won the gold medals in the men’s and women’s categories, while second and third places went Yudelkis Ramírez Duvergel and Robelkis Goicó in the men’s category and Beatriz Carralero Lobaina and Elizabeth Jorrín Acosta in the women’s category.
The competition is divided into two rounds. The first one, or semifinals, involve four Symmetry and seven Muscularity poses in order to determine muscle development, definition, size, proportion and aesthetics. The second round, or Finals, involves a choreography with Free Posing to the accompaniment of music.
This sport is concerned with increasing musculature through the combination of exercise with weights, increase of caloric intake and rest.
